Malbec Rosé ‘22
Pale Pink Marshmallow Hue
With less colour than its predecessor, our '22 Malbec Rosé is a very light pale pink reminiscent of the famous rosés of Provence that people have come to know and love. Aromatics of bright red cherries, pomegranate and hibiscus flowers leap out of the glass. The palate is fresh and vibrant offering a myriad of summer fruit flavours including red cherry, raspberry and wild strawberries.
We're overjoyed at how this wine turned out, and so were the judges at the 2022 Hawke's Bay A&P Bayleys Wine Awards awarding it the Trophy for best Rosé of the show! A first for Zaria and one that we are particularly proud of.

“Very pretty appearance with a delicate pink hue. Aromas of an equally pretty wine with fresh red cherry and apple flesh, a light tropical fruit punch quality and sweet honeysuckle and rose. Crisp, fruity, refreshing and dry on the palate. Very fine tannins and acidity contrast the core fruit flavours with a light mineral and red skinned fruit zesty finish. Well made and ready for summer 2023 through 2024.” – Cameron Douglas
“It's delicate and inviting on the nose with raspberry, red apple, apricot and white floral nuances, followed by a finely expressed palate delivering excellent clarity and poise. Brilliantly structured by vibrant acidity, finishing lingering and mouth-watering. At its best: now to 2025.” – Sam Kim Wine Orbit
